We had a great weekend!!!! Friday, Corey found out that he was going to have the opportunity to preach again this Sunday! Our Pastor lost his great uncle and had to preach the funeral...keep their family in your prayers.

On Saturday, Corey worked on his sermon...I cleaned the house and then around 4:00pm we left for the evening. We went out for dinner to The Melting Pot...It was Corey's first time there. We enjoyed it a lot! After eating, we went to the Progress Energy Center/Raleigh Memorial Aud to see ANNIE!!!! It was also Corey's first Broadway show! Annie was so good...we enjoyed it so much. (Corey even liked it and he doesn't do musicals to well) Corey said that he'll even go see another one!

Sunday we got up and went to church early...Corey preached 25 minutes!!! He did great I was proud of him.

By the way if you would like to hear Corey's two sermons from the past two Sunday's visit our church website at www.leesvillebaptist.com then click on sermons (on the left of the page), His sermons are the last two (march 12, and 19th). Give me some feed back on them! :) These were the first sermons Corey has got to do during a sunday morning service! He's done all other services except sunday morning!

Well let me know what you think!

Let me tell you about our Sunday! :) Corey received a phone call about 3pm yesterday telling him that our Pastor was very sick and then they asked him if by any chance he would be able to prepare something for the sermon the next morning....now let me catch you up on something....remember that Corey has within the past week just had an interview for the youth pastor position at our church so he is already doing a two week trial period of Sunday School, Sunday evening youth and wednesday night youth...ok...so on top of being prepared for these he was asked to prepare a sermon too!!!! WOW!! He's superman!

Well...back to Sunday...this morning we went to church and got there about 9:30am. We wanted to be there early so Corey could be prepared...Well, Corey led the Youth Sunday School from 10-10:45am, then preached the sermon during the 11am worship time! This was Corey's first official Sunday ever preaching during the Morning worship service! He did a wonderful job...no rabbit trailing...made his points clear...and we even got out of church early!!! :) hehe...his sermon was about 15 minutes long! :) He was so excited that he got it all out in 15 min. But he did great! I was very proud of him...I also told him that I'm sure he'll preach more often when the Pastor is out since he was nice and short!!!! :) His sermon will be on the internet on our church's webpage...I'll let you know when and post the webpage too!

Anyways, we then had lunch with a couple and their son that is in the youth! We ate Mexican! Everyone's favorite! We then went home and after 30 min of being home I turned around and went back to church for Choir practice and Handbell practice! After all that at 5:15pm I ran home...got home about 5:40pm...we left again at 5:50pm and headed back to church for Sunday Evening Youth! That turned out very well too! Now we're home and tired!  This is how our day went!!!
If you would too....please remember me in your prayers for my interview at the church for the music director position! It's tomorrow night about 8:15pm. Thanks!!!!
